Currently I'm the co-founder of PressPass.me - a beta directory of journalists organized by media outlets, beats, & regions aimed at making it easier for small businesses, non-profits, start-ups and citizen reporters to get their news-worthy stories out to the right reporters.

Previously, I’ve been fortunate enough to work as a digital creative for some top interactive and advertising companies – McCann (Toronto), Organic Inc (Toronto), North55 (Dubai) and TBWA (Dubai), along with a few of the larger global and local brands – General Motors, Nissan, Pfizer, Bank of America, Airmiles, Visa, MAF, Eurosport Arabia & Emirates Airlines.

From conception to completion, my experience involves pitching ideas, user experience design, brainstorming/collaborating with various teams, and helping manage the entire process.

Socially Conscious

Coming from the online world, I believe that the web has the potential to make the world a better place through scalable impact.

This led me to creating TheSociallyConsciousBlog – a website where I (along with other writers) write articles about causes & initiatives doing exceptional jobs using the web to make a positive impact. (ie - Kiva, WWF, Free Rice, Pepsi’s Refresh Project, Acumen Fund, etc.)

Being located in the Middle East (Dubai) for the past few years, I also felt it was important to highlight some of the changemakers (Giorgio Ungania of TEDxDubai, Susan MaCaulay of Amazing Women Rock, Monya Wolf of Monyati Initiatives, etc) in the region.

So based on the positive feedback from The Socially Conscious Blog and from first-hand experience meeting social entrepreneurs from the region, I created Socially Conscious Arabia
